  • onion sets advice please

Hi grapes , I was thinking on planting my onion sets this weekend in my raised beds wich i grew my brassicas in last year, the thing is the forcast don't look to great, the soil in the beds is very workable at the mo i was wondering if the tempreture gets very cold but the soil is workable would this have much effect or will they be ok to plant.
its just one job out the way.
    Thanks Muckman.

Plant 'em! Frost, snow or anything else doesn't bother 'em. I planted mine three weeks ago and they're peeping.

I'm inclined to agree with fiveravens. Mine went in on March 2nd, and we've had a couple of nights when the temp has dropped below freezing and they do not seem to have had any problems - just beginning to see growth now. From what I've read onions are pretty hardy.
