    Onion Seedlings

    Ok, I've been looking at some older threads and noticed that a lot can go wrong with transplanting onion seedlings and that it may just be better to leave several growing together in a little module and plant them out in a clump? Rather than pricking out into indivdual modules I mean. Does that all make sense??

    Anyone got any advice about pricking out onion seedlings or leaving in clumps?

    It does indde and its something I do too. The clumps tend to give you onions of varying sizes which is no great issue as not every job needs a big onion and the smaller ones are great in sandwiches et al.

      Thanks PW! I've got my seedlings in little paper pots, 5 max in each pot, do you think it's ok then to leave them in them and plants the whole pot out?

      Also, how much should I be watering them just now? They're at the crook size and some that have just come out of the crook and getting straighter!

          just like not every job needs a huge marrow ....... sometimes a courgette will do
