Onion Seed Difference

Could anyone tell me the difference between Onion 'North Holland Bloodred' and Onion 'Notth Holland Bloodred Redmate'. On the pocket of 'North Holland Bloodred it says to sow Feb to July and the other says you can also sow in September but are they actually the same or is one hardier than the other? Confused

I don't know for certain, but I suspect someone growing "North Holland Bloodred" has done a further selection for autumn sowing without bolting.
