I Have 3 Unidentified Plants in my winter Onions i have no idea how i did not see them earlyer i just thought they were turbo or somthing but today i noticed they have flat blue tinted leafs where as the onions have round green leaves and the garlic has green flat leaves what could it be ?

I have only planted the onions and garlic in the bed i think they must have been in with the onion plants that i brought ... and ideas ?

Only after the last tree has been cutdown Only after the last river has been poisoned Only after the last fish has been caught Only then will you find

Well, you wait until the leek is the size of a leek - and then dig it up. About an inch wide usually.

They put up a flower stalk from the centre of the leek, with a bud at the top - this will flower and form seeds. If you've ever prepared an old leek you will have seen the hard stalk through the centre. They are then past their best for cooking. Mine have been in for months but have not started to flower yet.

as VC said,a stalk comes up with a bulge on top, this gradualy develops, and will eventually look like a large pompom, each tiny flower has aprox 3 seeds in,they are very atractive both to us and the bee's
