I bought some onions in modules from my garden center. since ive put them in the ground ( brand new sterilised soil from dandys). The little green stems that they had have all drooped. They are at the end of my raised bed. Should I discard them and buy new onoin sets, or should i keep my fingers crossed they will eventually grow. The couple of wks that they were on my patio table waiting to go in the ground, they were all upright stems. I have covered the bulbs with soil, maybe I shouldnt have done this. Can anyone explain what i can do etc. and how to grow them successfully. It did rain a lot after i planted them. Thanks everybody regards judith.

Things quite often droop for a while once you transplant them; it's like you limping if someone battered your feet!
As long as the roots are underground, they should recover. If they don't then you've lost nothing.
If you want to give them something, then coffee grounds sprinkled around them - or some root veg fertiliser sprkinled around them should help. The fertiliser should leach into the soil over the winter and give them some tonic whilst you are busy doing other things like keeping warm.
You'll get nothing from them until next spring anyway, as their growth will slow down as it gets colder.
