I went to my local Morrisons yesterday, looking for some more flower buckets, they had none, as on the last few occasions I have been. "Never mind" thinks I, "it's just that other folk have got there before you", but no, as my eagle eyed wife pointed out, the cut flowers are now in deep, 6" square green containers, so is the the end for cheap planters? There don't seem to be any other sources locally, as most stores seem to use this type of container for their cut fliowers.

Oh no, I will check this at my local store this week and if they have any left ill get what I can. If they have extra, would you like me to post some to you? Wouldnt cost too much as they are light.I hate slugs!! -
Mine have loads, just bought some more 10"x10" round black buckets.
Now all have been drilled for drainage holes.Comment

I think the green tubs are the permanent display tubs and the flowers arrive into store in the black buckets. My local Morrisons has the same green tubs on display, but they had loads of black buckets.Comment

Asda were only too happy to give them away and had not been asked for them before. I think it sometimes depends on what mood the manager/assistant is in when you ask. If their parsnips aren't germinating .........Granny on the Game in SheffieldComment

I got all mine from a local florist, bit more personal than a supermarket. He even put the split or cracked ones to one side so I only got the good 'uns.
He's closed down recently so I have to find a new source but still got loads so no rush.Comment

OH NO! No flower buckets...
I got mine from Morrisons in Yate, but they have cottoned on to the gardeners so put 'em in 8's and you have to pay 99p. Not too bad really.There's pleasure sure in being mad that only madmen know - AnonComment

I buy mine off the carboot, I wondered where she got them from, so she just goes to the Asda/Morrisons/etc and gets them cheap and sells them onto me for a profit? Think I'll have to cut out the middle man
