    Oh no! I think I killed the plum tomatoes!!

    My friend gave me 4 plum tomato seedlings. I'm not sure what type. I split them as they were already a bit large to be in a pot together and as I was out of little pots put two in a large pot but with not much soil in. I had them outside in the sunshine yesterday and forgot to bring them in over night. Now they look all droopy and the leaves look a little yellow and shrivelled.

    The other two which stayed indoors are fine.

    Are they done for? Is there anything I can do? I've got tonnes of tomato plants but only four plums so I don't want to lose them!

    There's not really much you can do, just put them on a windowsill, water if they need it and hope for the best.

        No, there's no magic remedies I'm afraid, just hope! It's not too late to sow some more if they don't make it though. If you want a few San Marzano seeds, just PM me your address

          I brought them in and kept them warm and gave them some tomorite. They seem a bit happier - thanks for the offer of seeds - I think they will be ok. I do have tons of tomato plants, enough to start a rival ketchup brand to Heinz (or that's what my husband keeps muttering). Hmm the highs and lows of grow you own eh?

            Keep 'em inside for a good while yet - they cannot take any frost (and we certainly had frost last night) and cold will just stop them growing. Hope yours are OK.

                All my toms are in my unheated greenhouse a week now. They are heavily covered every night with lots of fleece any sheets of polystyrene. So far, so good.
