  • Now in beds

We've dug up and donated a huge pampas grass and some other shrubs on freecycle so now I've finally got a bit of ground to use as a veg plot instead of just using pots and containers.

Next plan is to fill in the pond and make 3 beds of a similar size but that won't be until later on in the year.

I know its only a small area to some but I'm really chuffed.

I bet you are proud of those beds, Bren. Love the little paths as well - we called them pammets in Suffolk. You may want to put the pond in a pot!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Thanks, and I don't feel one bit silly when I stand admiring my little bed.

No name change Newbie I'll always be growing something in pots.

Satisfying, isn't it! The plot looks very neat and tidy and productive too. That's how I started last year, with just an 8x8ft area and now I have 3 8x4ft beds and another one to follow. There will be no stopping you now

All I need now is 'something' that works to keep cats off all that soil.
