I also have a 'Basket of fire' chilli plant growing in my herb trough on my kitchen window

the new chillis grow upwards, but go horizontal as they ripen

excellent chilli's and very hot! ....

I made a sausage (hot) pot casserole yesterday and added 1 and a quarter of these (with their seeds) .... very spicy .... so use moderately

Thanks for the warning DIM. I will use sparingly.
Glad to hear they are growing ok and drop down when ripen

we had a pepper soup the other day and put a very long very ripe cayenne pepper into the mix of various sweet peppers ,fully ripe Hungarian wax and black, wow, was that a hot meal, we could have had it cold and still felt the warmth of it all, it was enjoyable though, tasted really fresh and 2hrs later I could still feel the burning above my top lip and we still have 15 plants enjoying the warmth of the late summer sun...
