  • No snail damage

I have just used a red cabbage from the garden and when preparing it there were no slugs or snail's on it and not a lot of snail damage, compared to green cabbages, they are far more snail resistant, are there other veg that sluggish and snail's avoid

I "think" I read that red leaves are less attractive to slugs, snails, ?birds than green - but I could be making it up!!

I've read that too, although I have had red cabbages damaged by slugs in my friend's garden.

I've noticed that my red chard doesn't get as much damage as the rest.

If red puts them off a bit, I wonder if Snadger or Jay-ell noticed any difference when they were doing their trials with different coloured mesh
