  • Nicola potatoes

    Hi

I planted some Nicola potatoes first week of April, they are flowering or budding at the moment. When will they be ready to harvest? I stuck my hand in the bag to try and feel the size of them but couldnt feel anything

Nicola are a second early and I would leave them in the ground for 12 to 16 weeks depending on the weather and how the foliage looks.

So they may be at their best from now and the next 4 weeks.

Some potatoes crop close to the surface whilst others are further down so don't be dis-heartened if a quick furtle failed to find any potatoes.
The proof of the growing is in the eating.
    Leave Rotten Fruit.
    Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potasium - potash.
    Autant de têtes, autant d'avis!!!!!
Il n'est si méchant pot qui ne trouve son couvercle.

Well done! That'll be the most delicious potato you've ever eaten.
