  • Newbie seeding

Hi all im new at growing own stuff and just got quick question.I planted few tomatoes and pepers just woundering how long it will be before start growing and how often to water them as seeding.

Mine take around a week to show - some are quicker, some longer! These are sown in a heated propagator...
Watering - mine only get watered once a week, from underneath if I can (sitting in trays on windowsills). They shouldn't dry out too much but equally not be waterlogged?
    Where are yours?

Mine took about 12-15 days to germinate. Keep them moist not waterlogged and they should be fine.

Tomatoes grown with some heat (propagator, or somewhere warm, will germinate in about 4 - 8 days

          Sweet Peppers take longer - 14 days-ish

I guess it's a sunny windowsill, or above a radiator?

Have you got a cover on the seeds? Clingfilm or even a pop bottle? It will keep the moisture in until they germinate. They might need a bit more heat, windowsills get v.cold at night
