Newbie question about cucumbers

    Newbie question about cucumbers

    I know that toms grow from the centre of the flowers but how do cucumbers grow?

    I have a couple of cucumber plants and there are a few little things growing inbetween the stems that look like they have tiny little crowns at the top of them. Are these the start of the cucumbers?

    Don't laugh. I'm only used to seeing them on supermarket shelves!

    There are male and female flowers, which look the same, but behind the female flowers you will find a mini cucumber. This picture shows the difference well.

      I am growing Burpless Tasty Green F1 so I don't think I need to do anything regarding removing flowers etc.
