ROFL I am so glad to find I am not the only person who can do such a good job of getting into bizarre gardening situations !
Loved the blossoms, I have sweet pea envy ! That flower picture that is second down from "In the main garden..", what flower is that ?
There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

Hiya - Thats a Cleome Spinosa and the variety is Violet Queen. Its a beauty I think they are perennial and they grow with lots of thorns like a rose bush. I grew them from seed this year. Very pleased. Have a look here. Ben sells the most amazing flower seeds Higgledy Garden - Part 1

That's a cracking looking plot you two have got there rainyp5655. Regardless of spaghetti veg mishaps, well done for having such a well organised and attractive growing space :-)

Thanks William. I seem to spend hours every day just pottering and picking things up!! but I love it and am really enjoying the vegetables.

You should try supporting the fruit with with some netting or some old (or new value) tights and tie them to the frame. That should allow them to keep growing without dropping off.

Try an old pair of tights tied to the frame for support

                    Hi Rainy,
I like your Spag Squashes, rather different from the ones I'm growing as the variety I have are yellow in colour and all died apart from one plant and that is rather dodgy too! So far I have two squashes the size of hand grenades, these are hanging next to each other and one is doing okay whilst the other seems to be struggling. I may cut the struggling one off so the healthier squash gets more goodness from the mother plant. Great blog thanks
Hey farmer farmer put away the D.D.T. Now give me spots on my apples but leave me the birds and the bees please!
