    Is it a problem as the plants look very healthy ??

    Not at all. Potato are diploid so need different potato pollen to get fertilised. That why you plant the potato e not the actually seeds from the fruit (wich will have different quality of the original plant)

      So do the flowers need fertilising before the plant produces potatoes ?

        No. In fact not all potatoes flower.

          No. The potato are just chubby roots. For first early potato when they flower it's almost ready to harvest ( even if I would wait few more weeks) usually the plant grow and the more grow the more the root grow. Then they star to swell and after they will flower. The potato are there but maybe they are as big as a grape. The more you wait the more will swell.
