  • My New Raised Beds

I have been busy building raised beds out of decking boards and separated them with semi permanent paths of wood chippings over weed control fabric. I am hoping to become more no dig (well less dig anyway).

I have sown broadies and transfered some strawberry runners so far. Hope you like them......

I am getting the saw and screwdriver out on my first beds tomorrow so I can belatedly get the onions and garlic in and also the fruit bushes. Gotta love cheapo deck boards from B&Q, half price at the moment.

Ah, these ones then. They will need treating, are you painting or staining them?

They have been treated...I think already. I don't plan to paint them or further treat them so I hope the last a good few years.

I hope to keep you posted with the results over the coming years. Excellent value all the same.

I'd be very surprised if they have been treated - but you're happy with them, so that's fine
