  • Are my Leeks doomed?

I have tonight found just one leaf in amongst my leeks that is concerning me. Along the central rib of the leaf (I know there's a proper term for the leaves, but can't remember it) is a ridge of tiny holes/blisters that have gone brittle and papery.
Iknow that there is a creature that damages leeks that has been moving up the country, and fear it may have reached Leicestershire now.
    Any ideas?

I know picture would help here, but the pictures I took just before I destroyed the offending leaf are rubbish and blurred so wouldn't be any use to anyone.

These leeks were bought in April/May and planted out.
I have just put some grown from seed leeks in the next bed, so was wondering if I should protect them?

Most likely Leek Moth larvae, or could be Allium Leaf Miner. Have a look at the larvae, they are quite different
