  • Mutant tomatoes

    For some reason I've had loads this year. I'm sure I had a few last year, but this year they seem to be all over the place. No particular variety - they're all at it. These are a few:





    Any ideas? Is it just me?

    maybe just the effects of a really hot day in the greenhouse or a nip by an insect at the right/wrong time.

      Another reason I've read about is cool weather at blossom time. If you google for deformed toms, you'll get plenty of results. Shame!!!

        It's called cat-facing..if you Google for images ....it's weird, but quite common and it's caused by low temperatures at flowering time.
