  • To much one trough

    Next ?
I have a large 8foot trough. In it I have in this order ,strawberries ,toms, sweet chilli, chilli, lettuce . In my heated green house. Problem ! There all getting the same treatment, water food etc. I thought about putting in plywood dividers or repotting. Please give me your thoughts. Is it a problem ? Or for next time what goes well with toms.
Thanks again folks you lot are a great help.

lettuce doesn't really need to be in the greenhouse, it prefers cooler, damper areas. you'll be feeding the toms and the chillies/peppers together, but the latter apparently make more fruit if they're kept with confined roots and on the drier side of moist, whereas the former like lots of root room and moister side of moist, if that makes sense. Strawberries will be done before the rest of them are, fruiting wise, and will be sending out runners everywhere...

It's really worth the effort of planting like-with-like, not chucking it all in together and hoping for the best. As you see, each plant has quite different growth habits and climate requirements
