I have taken up the paving slabs, that the previous owner ran four dogs on, in my back garden and turned the area into a kitchen garden.
I am have grown, so far, this year, onions, shallots, garlic, peas and potatoes in tubs and bags.
At the moment french beans, runner beans, tomatoes, courgettes and various herbs are developing rapidly. Also have put in purple sprouting broccoli and brussel sprouts for next year.
Around the exterior fence there are black berries and raspberries along the centre of the beds.
Have also started a small aspargas bed with 10 roots.
What else can I start off for next year.
The area of the garden is 607 square feet.

Welcome to the Vine Maureen. Where in the country are you? You can go into your personal profile and show us there.
I grow in my garden too, although a lot of Grapes have allotments.
You could plant some kale for winter greens, some fennel for later use, and next month some Pak Choi and lettuce for overwintering. I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions. Or look at the thread - What I did today - and see what other Grapes are doing.
    Good luck and happy gardening.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

A few carrots (Autumn King' is a good variety,) can be sown and, with protection, will keep going for months, often until spring..
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
