    i have several plants which i need to move, as they haven't done very well where i have put them this year ( thier first year in the spot) when is it best to move gooseberries, rhubarb, and peony, and will they then be set back a year again , ie i wont get any fruit from them next year either? ( not peony- not plannibg on eating that one, but will it flowe next year)

    I dont know about the peony, but I will be moving my goosebubs and rhubarb this autumn from the back garden to the allotment.

        thanks!-- if i move them in the autumn, as i know i should do, will i then lose another year of being able to get a crop? (ie. no fruit next year either?)

          Try & take a good rootball with soil & they should be ok as they are not growing.
