  • Mosaic???

Hi All, Is this mosaic disease? I went away for the weekend and came home to find a few of the new leaves (and newer ones being produced) looking silvery in places. The fruit seems ok and the undersides of the leaves are fine...

No, that looks more like mildew. Courgettes get it a lot and it doesn't seem to do them any harm.

Donna, my courgettes have exactly the same silvery patches and seem fine.

My seeds were from Wilkinson (Astia F1) so it might be dependant on the type of seeds/plant.

The experienced people of the vine made these comments on mine:

      Hope that helps!

For even more re-assurance regards the inevitable 'tatty' looking leaves that go with courgettes and cukes see this thread!

It made me feel better and might save you some first timer anguish too!
