  • Martock Beans query

Hi knowledgeable plotters. I have a bed of Martock beans which appear to be producing a decent crop of what I consider to be highly under-rated beans. Anyway, some of the pods have started to turn black whilst on the stem - is this a problem? The contents appear to be safe and well. Should I just pick them now, after all they are a reasonable size.
Your advice would be much appreciated

Mystery solved (I hope). It appears thast despite the recent rains, the beans had decided they were not going to grow any more despite being regularly watered. The blackening was them starting to dry off early. A couple of other plotters on our site have had a similar problem with their broad beans
