    marjoram...........?

    at the allotments we were sent some herbs from a supplier on was marjoram... big green leaves in a pot look a bit wild garlic type.
    i thought marjoram looked like qregano same family and all that.
    this will be a battle from the heart

    Marjoram or oregano - look much the same to me. Telling them from wild garlic should be easy - just rub or eat a leaf.

          Would be great if it was wild garlic! Tried to grow that from seed a number of times but it never germinated

          Grew marjoram in my herb bath once but it was a bit of a bully and didn't seem better for anything culinary-wise than oregano. Ripped it out and stuck to oregano which has escaped into the garden and seeds itself about a bit which is nice.
