Manure Tea, or just manure

manure tea would be for feeding plantgs that aren't in particularly good earth, or in pots etc. It's a feeding aid rather than an extra if your soil is in good condition.
The manure will help your soil if it's not completely rotted, the straw or hay will add bulk. If it's well rotted, you'll be enriching the soil with extra nutrients, but not bulk.

Manure is one of the best Soil conditioners you can use to build up your Soil. Aged manure is best, mulching it into the soil and allowing for it to cure so you do not burn your plants is extremely important. If they are feeding on GE feed (genetically engineered) or if they are on a silage feed or being fed antibiotic and growth hormone added feed ration you do not want to use these manures in your garden or container plants. Remember what you put in your soil will come up through your plants roots. Always know the source you get your manure from!

Note: Compost from Green Waste Recycling plants is not toxic free and the EPA does not require testing for toxins (when organic really is not organic) Make sure to look for the Mulch and Soil Council seal of approval when you are making a purchase!

My compost heaps are placed on top of plastic sheeting on a slight slope and compo fluid fills a bowl which is emptied into a barrel. The barrel contains comfrey, parenial weeds, water and green manure cuttings. The resultant drained fluid is strained/filtered thro an old engine air filter so it flows easier thro watering can. I use this as a liquid feed and as a deterant to White Fly on me Brassicas, acts as a folier feed too.
