    Hi

I've moved your thread out of Growing Techniques into an appropriate board.

    Many Thanks

We haven't got a specific section for containers, but if you search for containers, or have a read through the posts, you should find out quite a bit about growing in containers.

When mine pop up I move them outside to a plastic greenhouse then when they are about 6-8" I plant them out with a plastic bottle over the top then remove that after about a week or two.

You could start by putting your plants out during the day and bringing them in a night. That way they'll get extra sunlight and harden off. In the mean time save some plastic bottles to cover them with so you can use them when you plant them out full time.

          Hello and welcome.
If you are after tips on container growing, use the search button (toppish, leftish on the screen) as there are loads of threads about that on here. If you have a specific question then shout out!
          Good luck.

Mange tout are a lot more hardy than you think. I have early sown (early march) and they are now starting to romp a fence.

Growing in modules then planting out seems to work best for me - sow about every 4 weeks.

I second the starting in modules and then planting out the resulting plugs. I have two areas of mangetout and the module sown plants germinate and grow well and are currently light years ahead of the direct sown. My favourite trick is to plant out two rows of module sown mangetout about a spade width apart and then place a row of direct sown in between then to get a bit of succession easily. Dont forget your peasticks, and protect the seedlings if you can as the birds strim them if they can get to them.
