There should be a label under the plants somewhere...I am going to leave about 30 pods on for seed circles so I hope there is!
They almost look photoshopped but they really are that big! and still very snappy and tender.Last edited by zazen999; 03-07-2013, 08:31 PM.

Well, you see - I assumed they were peas and not mange tout as they were starting to get quite big and they have purple flowers [and purple at the axil] and I thought they were going to be the purple podded peas and after Sarz's got so big [ie not dwarf at all] I put quite a few canes in and they are taller than I'd expect and then the mange touting goes and happens!

Ahhhhh Don't you just love peas! They have their own rules and stick by them!
I'm growing several mangetout side by side with some sweet peas and the pea flowers are their equal in colour and beauty. I've never really appreciated pea flowers before - they always seemed to be white and tiny. My eyes have been opened this year - I love 'em and want more!!Comment

I will not be held responsible but the one you need to grow if you aren't already is Golden Sweet Mange Tout. Oh my! Absolutely fantastic and beautiful and then you can eat it!

I have Golden Sweet on the grow too And Eat All and a Blue flowered one whose name I can't remember. I may have to start some more - just for the flowers
