  • Main Crop Roosters

I had Roosters in my Dobies basket but they must have sold out as they vanished when I went to place my order the other day.
Does anyone know if they are still available anywhere as I really fancied that variety?

Thomson & Morgan, Marshalls and Suttons all appear to still have this variety available.

Whilst moving house this week I had some supermarket bought roosters in the fridge which i'd forgotton about. They have now gone past their best and have started chitting so I'm going to stick them in a planter and see how they go.

My local branch of Wilkinsons still had them earlier this week.

I have noticed that a lot of the packets of Rooster in the supermarkets list the grower - I read once that if you choose spuds from a Scottish grower, they should be fine to plant.
