  • Lovely lettuce

I grew some cut and come again mixed lettuce in a shallow terracotta plant pot holder. Its a big one and the lettuce has grown brilliantly. None of my family have been home apart from the odd day for weeks and If I don't do something with it it is going to fall over and die and be wasted.
Shall I plant each individual little plant outside? Will they grow into proper lettuce with solid hearts if I do that?

Eat the outer leaves and use continuously or pot them on if you can separate the roots.......you can chop them right back and they will grow again.....well done!

    Loving my allotment!

Ok thank you. There is nobody here to eat it so I will pot them on and see how they do. I would like to put them in the kitchen garden though not in pots. What do you think? Worth a go?

Thinking on a bit Wizz, you could plant them in one section of the cold frame, lid open in the day & closed at night
