Default Lifting Seedlings

sorry for the stupid question!!!

when transplanting seeds... should I lift them by the stem or the leaves?

Carefully, by the seed leaves and never by the stem.

Got some Radishes under cover in the plastic greenhouse (not that these will need transplanting, of course!) they seem to be coming on nicely.

Gonna sow some Cos (lettuce) seeds this afternoon in seedtrays in the 'greenhouse'.

I am also tempted to sow a first early potato in a container, under some fleece in the greenhouse - you never know!
