  • Leatherjackets... organic solutions?

    My dads getting annoyed with them and is planning on turning to a spray.. any natural solutions?

            I was only going by what my dad described at first, went and looked at them yesterday evening, he had already gone to the creamery and has now spread (even more) slug pellets, the only 2 "bad" plants I saw were just pure yellowy.

            He sprays them every week with dithane and last week sprayed 3 of the drills with bluestone/soda mix.

            I hate seeing so many chemicals out onto them, at least my spuds will be 100% organic (bar the seed spuds) be interesting to compare results!

              Crikey, he's spraying with everything he can find isn't he? (spuds are so cheap to buy, I don't know why people go to so much expense)


              I had to google bluestone (never heard of it) ~ it's copper sulphate ?
