  • Just want to say I have serious garden envy right now.

Yeah its not really a thread, this year so far, I thought I might have done a bit better but I think the weather and my lack of experience have faulted me a little, having said that, i am especially pleased with my tomatoes/Peppers and Broad Beans, and cucumber/squashes.

I have though loved collecting/reading as many books i can get my hands on, Im learning though that even though reading teaches you alot, experience and actcually doing something teaches you faster.
and also that you cannot best mother nature and you have work with/around your weather not go against it so to speak.

Im only a 20 year old girl but growing my own food is so important to me and forums like this are amazing in terms of talking to people/comparing/giving & receving advice

I also have been thinking about next year already, starting much earlier, planning and taking records and im going to have either a polytunnel or greenhouse, i live in a windy area by the coast in south ireland so im not sure which will stand the toughest against the winter ghales.

Im also jealous of some of you guys's amazing plants and how they are coming along, The amount of time/patience that goes int veg gardening is underestimated I think sometimes.

Well That is all, hope you're all having a good day!

IV why don't you do a proper intro on the Intro Thread (unless I've missed you - if so sorry) and add you actual location on your profile. there are quite a few Irish Grapes and it helps people when they are giving you advice. You'd be amazed how much trouble people can take to make their answers relevant.
