  • Just planted spuds in large tubs, how much cold can they take ??Any tips ??

I'm a bit worried that a frost might kill my seed potatoes. There in large 45-50 ltr tubs. I've not got a green house to put them in.

They be okay with frost whilst they're covered, but once you see the shoots above soil they will need protection. Either top up with soil or other growing media (grass clippings, etc), or some people cover with newspaper when a frost is forecast.

Are there shoots above the soil already?

Just to repeat what has already been said. They will be fine, it's the foliage that gets killed not the tuber. Even if the foliage did get frosted, it would most likely grow back.
