    This is just crazy!

    This is my courgette "Goldmine" - described as a compact plant.



    It is planted 1/2 a metre back from the path and I have had to train it up a cane because it was blocking the way through. It has been virtually smothered by self sown nasturtiums, but is now over 1m high and I have just counted TEN developing courgettes on this one plant. Normally at this time of year they are producing one or two at best.

    I may have to set up a courgette stall at the gate!

      Very lucky. Courgettes are really tasty. What a great yield.
      LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

              I planted it out next to the hotbin, where I had dumped a load of hotbin compost earlier in the year. It seems to like it there, as does its green bush neighbour, which hasn't grown quite as big but has produced lots of courgettes.
