  • Its seems like all take when a newbie but gave my first plants back today

I'm so pleased today. After constantly being offered plants, the odd lettuce, rhubarb, cabagge etc etc etc. I have today managed to give something back.
My allotment is new so I spend most of my time weeding, I today had a break in order to thin the lettuce plants that my kids & I had sown way too thickly.
I managed to give away loads of mixed lettuce plants.
    Good Karma I hope!

It's a lovely feeling, giving away stuff you've grown. I get stupidly attached, though and was concerned last night that my cucumber plant (being given to a freecycler as a sweetener when I asked for something) might not thrive without the high standard of care that it's been receiving (er, water and sun...).

People are ever so grateful to receive plant gifts, too. I expect it's partly the cost of them as seedlings in the GCs, but I think GYO is one area which people associate hard work with!
