  • Info needed on seeds from swap

At the seed swap today I picked up some seeds that are unknown to me! Has anyone grown them or know anything about them please.
    Wild Tomato - Lycopersicon Pimpibellifium
    Boddington peas
"Hunnan peas or peas" (very dark brown pea seeds)

    Wild Tomato - Lycopersicon Pimpibellifium

These are changed little from the original wild toms. This is a HSL variety. Fruits are tiny. Needs staking as it does tend to sprawl.

Not "Poddington Peas"? Wasn't that a cartoon series many moons ago?

Are those wild tomatoes edible? I'm sure I read something about them not being edible? Or maybe it was something from the osu papers on their two blues.. can't quite remember but do recall something about it.

Yes and No!! Deffo Boddington! They were in a jar, with a rolled up packet covered in words!! and instructions that said "Read the packet". Didn't have time for that
Marchogaeth remembers that "they grow to 8' tall and needed to be supported! Also not supposed to grow other peas within 4' I think. They don't seem to be on the Real seed site but it was one of their envelopes."

If anyone want to try Boddington peas or Wild tomatoes they'll be in the VSP along with some other seeds that are probably from RealSeeds

As you'll appreciate Matt I couldn't take a lot of seeds - that would have been greedy
There are some Serpette Guilloteau Climbing peas, Sanda Brussels Sprouts, Turnip Greens, Franchi Black radish. Maybe a couple of others in very small quantities.

Not the varieties - it's people's names! I'll PM you about one though it has two labels!
