Sowed my Toms, chillis and peppers last Sunday, 16th feb. They go into shallow takeaway trays and are then placed in a "sun tunnel" on a reptile heat mat. There's nothing flash and no control over the heat.
Well ive just been out to check them and was met with this
You may notice that only half a side have germinated....well that's the side that was on the heat mat. I turned the trays round before i took the photo. Unfortunately, the heat mat doesn't fit the entire width of the tray but i obviously need to cram as much as poss in the tray.
It just shows how Toms and chillis etc appreciate a good amount of bottom heat although only the toms have germinated at present.
