  • Ideas please for north facing raised bed

We have a large raised bed (6 x 37 feet) which is backed by a high granite wall. It is north facing and in winter gets no sun but lots of light however has lots of sun throughout the summer. The soil is slightly sandy.

Planting ideas anyone? (fruit people I am posting this in fruit as well)

    Thank you!

How abou chard, kale and spinach? They don't need much sun in the winter and do well in shady areas.

My currant bushes seem to do well in a sandy, shady place! Morello cherries are recommended for north facing walls - you can fan train them up the wall.
