| Butternut Squash? Pale orange rind, smooth, deep orange flesh, tends to be fat at one end then thinning to an obvious neck. The seeds are in the fat end. Does this sound right? | Hmmm- that could well be it LJ- the Red Kuri Squash aka Japanese squash!! The guy I got the seeds off had already grated and cut off some of the skin, so maybe that's why I didn't see the sticky-out bit. If anyone wants to try some seeds- let me know! ( he said you need to grow them away from other varieties as the skin will get green stripes if it cross pollinates) |
