  • I love onions

Thy are looking magnificent and I didn't do much they are gonna be huge - even the red ones. And my Senshyus from seed in a trug are bursting with bulbing I think I may be eating them in a few weeks time. They are just so satisfying - I love onions.

My shallots have split into twos as well although my garlic is stressing me out a bit with yellow tips so I have been feed seaweed with the occasional chook manure for nitrogen which seems to perk them for a couple of days :rolleyes).

Should have peas soon if the bees stay, my broadies are taking a lifetime for the flowers to start dropping off, I think I'll nip the tops off next week - blackfly been seen off already with diluted Johnsons Baby Bath

It's the reason I'm going to the lottie come what may tomorrow....just to see how the onions are getting on. The broadies and peas can wait....but the onions....nah - I want to check up on them

Now, if only I could suss out to get to sleep tonight, after being awake for nearly 48 hours and travelling back from the US....and still feeling ill so can't lie down without coughing.....I can't really visit the lottie for another 7 hours so I've got to suss it out somehow.

Nope, it is an allergy to feather pillows....definitely. No fever or I'd have been a tad worried.

My over-wintered onions are starting to bolt, so I'm eating them as fat spring onions.

TS I pulled a few Senshyus a couple weeks ago as springies but my springies are doing too well for me to pull the Japs now
