Has any one tried these in compost or soil with any sucsess? I was thinking of trying it on tomatoes and peppers next year. There is a lot on the net but not for growing fruit and veg.

There's no reason why you shouldn't get decent results from using it as additional feed for MPC once the plants get growing. I wouldn't personally use it as I make my own seaweed liquid feed and have plentiful supplies of compost, leaf mould, horse muck, etc. You would need to know the exact composition before using it on any particular plant group.
