Might sound like an obviously simple thing to do, but I was just wondering if what I’m doing is right. When I move a plug plant or seedling, I keep all the soil/compost of the original container with the roots and make a hole about that size in the new pot / garden soil and bury it in the new location. Is this right way to do it? Or should I remove most of the compost of the roots and only plant the roots in the new location?

I'd say you're doing it right. You want to disturb the roots as little as possible.Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
