  • How much tomato feed?

I have not got my comfrey feed going yet this year and so I have invested in some organic tomato feed (what a price!). It gives the dilution rate and says to use it once a fortnight but it doesn't say how much to give. How much do you use, please? Also can I just slop it on anything that's fruiting or growing tubers?

With the comfrey, I water like usual and slop a good measure of comfrey tea on when ever I think about it - probably once or twice a week depending on the crop (can you tell I'm a scientist?) between the main watering so it doesn't get washed away. With the tomatoes, I water at the bottom of a cut up flower bucket and feed in the top so help, please?

I give the Toms to and a half litres of 10-1 comfrey juice once a week from the top and water from the bottom. The plants are grown by the ring culture method. Haven't started feeding the ones in pots yet but they will get a feed once a week then water both from the top. Not such a large volume as they are in three ltr pots and are only going to have two trusses max.

I would think about the same.
