  • How late is late cropping potatoes???

I've been abroad on holiday for the best part of August, and now that I'm back home I decided to clean out the fridge, and to my surprise I found 2 packs of late cropping potatoes( obviously I never got around to planting them before I went away). Would it be worth my time and effort to get them in the ground. The idea was that I'd have new potatoes for xmas dinner. I'm in the south west, so there is a good chance of warm(ish) weather for the next month or so.

Go for it!...just keep them frost-free

Definitely need to be kept warm and very light for the foreseeable future: that probably means growing them in a greenhouse

Any cold nights will slow them down and the first nip of frost will kill them
