  • How high...

...do Dreadnought broad beans grow ? I planted out a dozen plants from B & Q recently, and only later did I think, "Hmmm...wonder if they'll need staking, or a trellis...?"
I was going to search to see what the seed catalogues said, and then I thought, hang on, they often fib - better to ask people who have actually grown the things themselves !

Sorry Snohare but info on height seems in short supply. They are rated very highly for taste though and pics of them appear to show a bushy plant.

Not heard of these either Snohare, but if they're broad beans surely they should just require a bit of support together as they bush, I would doubt they climb.

I grew these last year, they were very prolific and i'm growing again, very impressed as I lovvvvee b'bs. They don't get too tall about 50-60cms, I didn't stake and they didn't flop,am also growing some crimson flowered ones this year we shall see which ones get the thumbs up!
          Good luck and enjoy!
