  • How do french beans climb?

I have bought some climbing french bean seeds and am not sure which support they need? Will they just twine around poles like runner beans or do they need something more to cling to, like peas?

I've tried searching several times but never seem to find a clear answer - I know I can rely on the lovely people here

    Thanks in advance!

They twine round like runner beans and are fine with bamboo sticks.

I make a tipi / teepee for mine made out of bamboo sticks and they climb up.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Yes, they are a vine, and the foliage looks identical to runner beans (so you might want to label each)
