I've sown too many Maskotka tomatoes 'tumblers', I want to hold back half of them so they rippen a month or so later. All of them are in good shape so I really don't want to start sowing more from scratch. Is there a way to hold them back?

Try keeping them in smaller pots? Although you may have to pinch out the first lot of flowers that forms. No idea if it will work though!Comment

But, Maskotka will produce for most of the summer, so there really is little point [IMHO]. The more you take off the more they will produce. They only slow down as the days get shorter and the temp drops.
However, if you do want to keep some back - just do what Sarz said.

Restricting the watering and keeping them in smaller pots has always worked for me.Comment

Although I agree with zazen, I have it this before with Garden pearl, they do peak at a point and decline slightly afterwards.
I have dealt with this before by keeping the same plants in different places, One plant in a shadier place I find slows it down enough, so that it's just a bit later than other plants. You don't want to slow it down too much, otherwise the fruit won't have time to ripen in late summer. I always bring this one into the front porch which is much warmer at the end of summer than the greenhouse."Orinoco was a fat lazy Womble"

I would sow at one month intervals if you want to do that but I don't think there would be much point as said above.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
