  • Hestia Dwarf bean spacings

    Hi all,

im being a bit of a geek (im stressed about new allotment and what growing beds need to be prepared at what times) working out how many plants i can grow, at the correct spacings, in my beds on the plot!

Ive got a 3m x 1m bed for runner beans- ive gone for Hestia dwarf beans as its quite an exposed site!

Im trying to work out how close together i should plant the seedlings- im probably going to grow 2 rows and maybe pop a couple of bush tomatoes in between the rows if there is space.

has anyone else grow dwarf beans in a similar way? if so... what spacing would you recomend?

    thanks!

    Hi Selfheal
I think I planted mine about 15cm apart and then about 30cm between rows. Normally they are sown in double rows so that they support each other.

I would say 15cm apart lengthways and then another 15cm apart to make the double row, then a 30cm gap and start again
