Herbs plants arrived , Questions please ?

Hello there my Herb plants arrived , I did want to put them in 10 litre pots but they seem to be lost by Hermes. So I replanted them in 1 Litre pots for the time being. Would you say I have a few weeks until I replant into bigger pots. Also is replanting herbs hassle free.

I also have herb seeds , should I sprinkle in a large pot or start off small?

Also does compost need to be usedup with in a few months ?

1. Pot them on when they need it, aka when the roots are poking through the bottom.
2. whatever and wherever you fancy
3. Depends what you're using it for and where you're storing it!
