Looks like greenfly to me but not certain. I would spray them with a mild soapy solution. I'm sure it used to work on Roses.............Play safe & don't do owt till you get more replies as I could be totally wrong.

Definitely aphids. Wash them off or squash them. Perhaps find a ladybird who will eat them for you. As it is quite a bad infestation and you are not going to be eating the leaves, I think this may be a situation where I would consider using an insecticide spray but that is up to you and how you feel about using chemicals. Look around where the plants are growing as you can be sure they will be lurking on other nearby plants too.

If you want to stay organic you could try garlic spray - I make it with 2/3 crushed garlic cloves and very hot water in a 2l lemonade bottle - leave overnight then strain and decant as needed into a sprayer. It might need a few goes though

Looks like a mixture of greenfly and whitefly to me - another organic solution is to find a ladybird nymph and they will do the job for you
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

The garlic spray worked like a charm for me last year, so it's at the ready this year too

They look like immature greenfly to me, I had some on a tomato and just washed then of with water in a hand spray, funny thing is they didn't come back.

Just greenfly I think: the white bits are the old skins sloughed by the baby ones. But yes, a few ant lions would help with the ones that survive the water spray.
